Do you agree with me if I say that, the human mind is the greatest and the most amazing machine in the world?? For me it is.. And yet. the scientists are understanding the processes in our brain. Overthinking... We all think but overthinking??????? It's beyond thinking. Overthinking lets you to think to the depth of the cause or a thing or a problem you have. But, the happiest news is that you can overcome your overthinking patterns; if you try. 

In this article 5 ways of overcoming overthinking will be discussed.
Are you ready??? 
First of all let's clearly look at the helping patterns of overcoming overthinking. There are 5. You can try all of these or 4 or 3 or...at least one. 

   
            

NO 01. Let go the past                                    
                                                             How many of you still think and worry about the past? Now let me ask WHY?? Why do you still think about something happened in the past? Point is if you are an overthinker...... an overthinker doesn't think and think about the happiest things. He or she is still worrying about the things or moments which are bad, sad or shameful. But, if you keep overthinking about that incident. would you be able to get out from that place where your mind is at right now? 
 
The answer is NO. Why?? It is because that you are letting your mind to keep memorizing or repeating the same incident or the incidents. It will let you feel worse than ever; because, you are memorizing them over and over. Would that help you to recover?  No. Past is past. You can not change the past unless you have a time machine. We don't live in a fantasy world. We live in a real world where there are ups and downs. Therefore, you must train your mind to let go. Let go the past. 

Why there is a today???
Today is here to live in the present not in the past. Past is there, not to grieve; but to LEARN.
Learn those failures, learn about those mistakes, learn who the toxic persons are or were in your life.
Will you think and think about past again?? My dear readers. if you like to stay in the past, your present and future will be same as the past.

       NO 02. Box Breathing

                                     Box breathing is a exercise you can try very easily. All you have to do is first, breath in for 4 seconds and then, hold your breath for 4 seconds and breathe out within 4 seconds finally, hold your breathe for another 4 seconds.  

Shall we try it now?? Let's start.

                                        
How do you feel now? Let your all doubts, the things you are worried about now go away with exhalations. Breathe new energy towards you. Stay positive. What do you think, would you feel better if there was a background soothing music while you were doing this exercise.

Let your brain feel relaxed. If you can try this whenever you are free please do this. You will be able to feel calm and relaxed. If you can specially try this early in the morning when you wake up; I'm sure that you will feel a change. A positive change.
When you do this your nerve system becomes relax and when you keep counting 4 seconds while you breathe ;it lets you focus on one thing. It may help you to stop overthinking, and improve your positive logical thoughts rather than negative thoughts. Keep practicing and you may able to witness a good result.

       NO 03. Accept Your Weaknesses 

                                              Do you know your weaknesses? Do you accept them? When you know what you can do and what you are capable of it is easy for you. Why?? It is because that when you accept who you are and know your flaws it lets you to know about your limits.

Let's take an example. Let's say that you are weak at some subject and the exam is coming soon. Will you be stressed out? Will you start overthinking? Tell me will that make you pass the exam OR let you fall apart more than you ever imagine.

You understood that you are bad at a certain subject. Then, stop overthinking about that weakness over and over. It WON'T help. Don't overthink about that weakness. Start knowing about it and then take action. Try to study hard or ask for help. You are not alone. There are many people you can get help from. So, why just sit and wait there overthinking?? You have to take action to overcome that weakness; unless overthinking strategy will make you weaker in that subject and also create a weaker personality in your life.









NO 04. Keep a diary

Diary.. How can it help you to minimize your overthinking. The process is this. If you keep a diary you are converting your emotions, the thoughts in your mind, the fears, and the pain into words. I'm not telling that a diary is only filled with those. The point is when you write those feelings, the bad emotions are also included in that diary. You expressed.. you are letting out your thoughts which are running circles in your mind, the thoughts; those pull you back from your comfort zone. 

If you can write, your mind will be relaxed. At least some percentage of your overthinking mind set will be changed. 
                                                  
Take an example..
When you write an essay or an article or any note, you are thinking right? You tend to find solutions. Your mind say.. do that, do this, write this.
Even when you write your own feelings into words, a solution...an idea... can pop up into your mind. Words are powerful!!!
And please remember that, your diary is private. Don't share it with others. Your feelings are there. Some might can use that against you. Your diary is yours not a public property.

NO 05. Involve In Something You Like

What do you like to do when you are free???

Any hobbies? Any interests in something? OR...

Have any ideas about a business? A dream???

Then..........is overthinking things bothering you?? Then here is a tip to overcome it. 

Let that little something you like make you busy.

If you have a strong intention on a good thing; start doing it. Don't wait till the last moment. Have a hobby. Have a favorite activity to do. Help others. Volunteer in social activities. Make your life a little bit busy and happy. Why???

When you are busy, you don't have long time spaces to think about the things you already don't like. You have things to do. When you are busy involving in things, your mind is active. But please don't be stressed out. That will leads you to overthink. You may be busy. But don't that "being busy" use as an excuse to your other things. For an example if you had 2 tasks to do....Do them properly at the given time. Time management is important. Let's talk about time management in another article. Yet, remember that not to wait until the dead line. Organize things. Have a plan. That will make things easy for you. You won't be stressed and overthought about the things you couldn't finish.

                     For another example.. Let's say you like to cook. When you feel like; you are overthinking....... Just keep calm. And start cooking a meal. It can be a meal you have never tried before. So many cooking channels are in You tube. You can try. Your mind would be relaxed and.... for a bonus point you would be able to taste a yummy food.

                                          













Conclusion

Overthinking can be overcame. (OO) Try at least two or three of those tips above. You may able to feel relaxed. Life is not easy but we can try and adapt. Try your best!!!
